    Description: Gastrozym is a broad spectrum enzyme complex for the digestive system. It is designed for an optimal digestion of all the macronutrients in the gastrointestinal tract. The composition is partly based on the results of studies using the TIM-digestion model from the Dutch scientific institute TNO ("TNO-Intestinal Model"). Gastrozym contains various types of enzymes which split protein (proteases, bromelain, papain), fats (lipases) and carbohydrates (carbohydrases) as well as maltase, lactase, alphagalactosidase and phytase. Gastrozym supports the digestive system, including in those who eat larger meals and/or consume a lot of refined foods. Gastrozym is a 100% vegetarian complex. The enzymes are of vegetable and fungal origin and have a wider pH activity range than animal enzymes. They survive the gastric passage more easily and remain active within the gastrointestinal tract for a longer period of time. Where possible, the enzymes are taken from several different sources to create a greater biological activity. This product contains protease enzymes from four different sources and lipase enzymes from three different sources. This product contains a broad spectrum of protein, fat and carbohydrate splitting enzymes, as well as a number of other specialised enzymes, such as maltase, lactase, alpha-galactosidase, invertase and phytase. As a result, this product is particularly suitable for people with special digestive needs.
