Review: Having very carefully done a search for 'Doctor Seaweed' and read up on this, it seemed a very sensible and good supplement to request, because vegans and vegetarians can often find some challenges in getting good plant sources both for D3 and B12. Seaweed is known anyway as a vegetable with marked henefits, and appears traditionally consumed in several cultures. Most notably in Japan - but, closer to home, in Wales (Lava Bread) I do occasionally add dried seaweeds in cooking, but wondered (because of its iodine) whether regular consumption in a supplement would be contraindicated. As my own levels of thyroid hormone when last tested are normal, and I have no symptoms which suggest otherwise, this seems a good supplement for me - I don't eat fish (a major source) and don't each much dairy (another source) so overdosing iodine is unlikely. Easy to take, and no adverse effects for me. If I WERE on medication for thyroid insufficiency - or had hyperthyroid, I wouldn't take this, without clinical advice

Review: I’m a vegan and I take iodine, but in the past I’ve mostly used potassium iodide because I’ve read that the iodine content of seaweed can vary, so I’d like more information on how they maintain a consistent dose. I like that the capsules contain vitamin d3 and b12, and that they’re from wholefood sources, but they’re both in quite low amounts, especially the b12. The capsules are easy to swallow, although there is a bit of a seaweed smell to them, but it doesn’t last.
