Review: I suffer from severe digestive issues with a number of foods, mainly gluten and casein, and I first heard about the benefits of using enzymes a couple of years ago, through my Dad. He uses them for back pain, and apparently you can find a variety of enzyme to be effective for almost any type of digestive or inflammatory condition. My symptoms are usually triggered very easily just from cross contamination, so eating out used to be a terrifying experience for me. Not anymore thankfully. Don’t be fooled into thinking you will be able to scarf down a bread roll and a milkshake, or a large helping of whatever else it is that ails you – no chance if you have serious intolerances, allergies or digestive conditions. But you should be able to go to a normal restaurant with your friends or family and not panic about how they are handling your food in the kitchen. One last tip – if you are accidentally “poisoned” by your trigger food and do get ill, you could try taking some activated charcoal. Pros : May help with inflammation, digestion and put your mind at ease too, when dining out. Suitable for vegans. Excellent travelling companion. Cons : Slightly pricey but worth every penny. I recommend keeping them for occasional use, as for me at least, they can cause a slight tummy ache. In summary : A game changer for people suffering with digestive difficulties.
