Description: Absolute Aromas Coriander (also known as Coriandrum sativum) is a sweet spicy, peppery and herbaceous essential oil that has a colourless to pale yellow colour. When convalescing or generally lacking appetite, try a daily abdomen massage with 1 drop of Coriander and 2 drops of Bergamot blended in two teaspoons of Peach Kernel oil. Always massage the abdomen in a clockwise direction. Try 2 drops of Coriander and 2 drops of Ginger, diluted in one teaspoon of Coconut oil and added to a warm bath to lift your spirits and ease general aches and pains. Coriander essential oil is distilled from the ripe seeds (fruit) of the coriander herb. It is cultivated all over Europe, particularly in Russia. Another essential oil can be produced from coriander by the steam-distillation of the fresh and dried leaves. This oil has one main constituent - Decyl Aldehyde - quite different from the seed oil, which has a high percentage of Linalol. The seed oil is far safer for aromatherapy use. Did you know? Hailed as an aphrodisiac the Egyptians saw the spice as the spice of happiness. Specific Safety Advice: It is important to remember that whilst essential oils are being used, it is wise not to drink alcohol. This is particularly applicable when using Coriander. Review: I would never have bought coriander essential oil until a mate of mine whipped one out and I had a little sniff. Well, let me tell you it smells amazing! So much better than I imagined! It has a really sweet fruity smell, and apparently it can make you feel hungry if you don’t have much of an appetite. Not that I have an issue with not being hungry! I’ve bought a few of absolute aromas essential oils, and I love that an info leaflet comes with it that includes suggestions for use.

Review: I wanted an oil that smelt exactly like the coriander herb that you put on food... This smells very nice and a bit like coriander but not enough... Ie without the box I don't think the smell would be recognisable if you asked someone to guess. Saying that when added to a bath the smell was a little stronger but didn't last longer.
