Review: I tried every sort of multivitamin for my child and she either could taste it in her juice or the gummy’s were very strong tasting and chewy. You only need 1ml pepet of this multivitamin and it has a nice orange flavour so I can hide it in her juice and she doesn’t know. It’s brilliant!

Review: I thought this seemed like a really good multivitamin as appeared to have everything needed and was sugar free however on doing more research there are a few problems. It is recommended in the UK that babies and toddlers get a multivitamin including vit A, C and D with vitamin D recommended to be 10 micrograms a day. The NHS website states between 8.5-10 micrograms a day, this multivitamin only contains 7.5 micrograms. In Scotland we are given free vitamin D drops but they can't be added into this multivitamin as this would be too much vitamin D. Vitamin D is arguably the most important vitamin as there are many proven cases of vitamin D deficiencies in children in the UK which is the main cause of rickets so, I do think it's vital they are getting the correct amount. The other issue I have can be found in the ingredients footnotes. I thought it was a bit cheeky that the footnotes cannot be seen on the company website or on this product page. From the pictures I've added you can see that the vitamin A make up contains sucrose and the Vitamin D contain corn syrup (sugars). After looking all over the place for vitamins that have nothing more or nothing less than the recommended amount of vitamins I found you can actually buy the healthy start multivitamin from superdrug. These are the vitamin given as part of the UK best start foods program. In 2019 it was decided every kid in Scotland would get vitamin D as vital but not A or C as there isn't a lot of evidence on deficiencies and I guess it's probably cheaper to give just 1 vitamin to every kid rather than 3. However as the UK still recommends the multivitamin I do think it's best to have the 3 and it's good to know the healthy start one can be bought at superdrug. Hope this helps.
