Description: Pycnogenol is derived from maritime pine bark extract which contains over 40 bio-flavonoids. Plant substances with potent antioxidant potential flavonoids protect the cells from damage by unstable oxygen molecules called free radicals. Pycnogenol is involved in the free radical scavenging 'mopping up' of harmful free radicals in the body. Free radicals being unstable molecules caused by by-products of the body's own metabolism or environmental pollution. Pycnogenol has been used to treat a variety of disorders. Its primary use is in enhancing the health of blood vessels. Pycnogenol has also been shown to be beneficial in helping reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes and to help contribute to healthy skin. Taking two tablets of Bio-Pycnogenol (equivalent to 80 mg) per day is recommended for general well-being and four tablets (equivalent to 160 mg) per day has been shown to give a therapeutic benefit. Review: I am convinced this does me good and I like this brand in particular. Within a few days of taking I noticed that when brushing my teeth, for example, there was no bleeding of the gums.

Review: I purchased to improve circulation. I didn't notice any improvement after 5 days. On the other side I developed nasty side effects, abdominal pain, nausea and bad breath. Had to throw in the bin. I am not really sure if this company actually deserves all the praise. Their products are a lot more expensive and this is not the first time I got disappointed. I often buy supplements from a lot cheaper, British brand and always have had positive results. I don't think I will be back buying from pharma nord
